The Met Gala, fashion’s biggest night out, is an invitation-only event that is one of the most anticipated events of the year in the fashion industry. With the guest list including Blake Lively and Isha Ambani, it’s never known who’s on the guest list.
However, there are some celebrities who will never be there; Some have been banned, and some have been called out by Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Here is a list of celebrities who have reportedly been banned.
Lili Reinhart
The Riverdale star attended the Met Gala in 2018, 2019, and 2021; However, he was not invited back to the 2023 Met Gala.
“I don’t think I would be invited back; I said something about a certain person in a certain outfit,” Reinhart told W Magazine in 2022.
There was speculation that she had criticized Kim Kardashian’s comments about going on extreme diets to fit into the Marilyn Monroe gown she wore in 2022.

Author and fashion presenter Tim Gunn confirmed that he was banned from the Met Gala during a 2016 interview on E! Entertainment’s Fashion Police asked host Joan Rivers if the rumors were true.
“that is very true. It’s a crazy story, and as far as I’m concerned, it’s a very real story,” he shared. “I was asked what was the most unforgettable thing I’ve ever seen in fashion and I said, ‘That’s easy. It was watching Anna Wintour being escorted down the stairs from a fashion show by two bodyguards – two large men. Was being taken down five flights. Chaos broke out. It was madness. Since then there has been open war between us.

Donald Trump
Trump used to attend fashion events every year; It was here that he proposed to his wife Melania Trump. However, on The Late Show with James Corden in 2017, Anna Wintour confirmed that Trump was the one person she would never invite back to the program.
