ADOR rejected Min Hee-jin’s allegations in a statement. According to them, the board meeting was held “in accordance with the law.”

Newsies producer Min Hee-jin has reacted to HYBE’s chief human resources officer Kim Joo-young being replaced as ADOR’s new CEO. As reported by Korea JoongAng Daily On Tuesday, Hee-jin revealed that she was “removed from her position as CEO of ADOR against her will”. ADOR announced the decision on Tuesday. Min Hee-jin will remain on board as an ADOR staff member.

Min Hee-jin’s opinion on ADOR’s decision

“The board made this decision regardless of the CEO’s wishes. This is a serious violation of the shareholders’ contract,” Hee-jin said. She said the company did not discuss with her about retaining her as Newsines’ producer. She called it a “unilateral decision.”

What did ADOR say about this

ADOR denied his claims through a statement on Tuesday evening, saying, “The board meeting was held in accordance with the law. The date was chosen from a list provided by Min Hee-jin. Min attended the meeting online, and the board made the optimal decision for the future of ADOR and Newseen.”

In another report ADOR’s statement is as follows:“ADOR held a board meeting on Tuesday and appointed Kim Joo-young, a member of ADOR’s board of directors, as the new CEO. We promise to provide the best support for Newgen’s success with this change in structure.”

According to the report, ADOR will begin separating the management and production areas within the company. Hee-jin was in charge of the company’s management and production of Newseen. She will remain on board as an ADOR staff member and retain her position on the company’s board of directors. She will also continue to produce music for Newseen.

Hee-jin and HYBE’s legal battle

The news comes amid an ongoing legal battle between Hee-jin and HYBE. She filed a police complaint accusing five HYBE executives of defamation and leaking her private messages to the media. Last month, HYBE said it would counter-sue her for the false accusations.

Meanwhile, HYBE also changed its leadership when Park Ji-won resigned as CEO and was replaced by its former chief strategy officer Lee Jae-sang. A feud between HYBE and ADOR began in April this year, leading to a legal battle.
