
There is good news for fans of the action thriller who missed its theatrical release or were simply waiting to watch the film from the comfort of their homes. After a successful run at the box office, Dev Patel’s directorial debut, Monkey Man, is all set to release on the OTT platform. Two months after its theatrical release, the OTT release dates have been announced.
Monkey Man: Release date and where to watch
Monkey Man will premiere on the streaming platform Peacock TV. According to KOIMOI, the film will be available to stream on the US video streaming service on Friday, June 14, 2024. As a bonus for fans waiting for the film, the film will also receive an additional digital release three days earlier, on June 11, 2024.
Patel’s directorial debut received immense praise internationally upon its theatrical release. The story’s narrative, socio-political commentary and gripping action sequences were praised for their value. Interestingly, the physical release will include alternate beginnings, alternate endings and some deleted and extended cuts of the films.

About Monkey Man
During the world premiere of Monkey Man in April, Patel revealed that the film was inspired by stories he heard in his childhood. The film follows the journey of a forest villager who sets out to take revenge on the officials who wronged him. Patel is the lead actor in the film, along with other actors including Sikandar Kher, Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Sobhita Dhulipala, Makrand Deshpande, Vipin Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar and Aditi Kalkunte.

The film was a commercial success and the numbers it earned at the box office prove it. It grossed a good $34.5 million upon its worldwide release. With a budget of $10 million, it was evident that the film earned far more than its production costs.
