Preparing for the release of superstar Shahrukh Khan Mufasa: The Lion KingHe talked about Mufasa’s journey and shared that his story sounds “very similar”. The makers recently released a video in which Shah Rukh shared the story of Mufasa and how he connects with it.

“The story is about a king who inherits loneliness instead of a grand inheritance,” the Bollywood star says in the video. “He aspired to touch the sky with his passion. He ruled the hearts of people even when many kings ruled this earth. He overcame difficulties to become the real king. The story sounds similar, doesn’t it?” said Shahrukh.
The makers unveiled the trailer Mufasa: The Lion KingThe nearly two-minute video gives a glimpse of the captivating jungle world with a powerful voice that has everyone talking. Shah Rukh Khan has lent his voice to the iconic character of Mufasa, while his son Aryan Khan has lent his voice to Simba.
Even the youngest member of the Khan family, Abram, has joined in, becoming the voice of young Mufasa. Other voices include Sanjay Mishra as Pumbaa, Shreyas Talpade as Timon and Miang Chang as Taka. The trailer begins with Timon and Pumbaa sharing a lively moment with the other jungle characters, but young Mufasa is clearly upset during this exchange.
Mufasa soon meets another cub, Taka, whose father warns him to stay away from Rogue (Roaming) Mufasa. Meanwhile, in a statement shared by Disney, Shah Rukh Khan talked about feeling a personal connection with his character Mufasa.
