Still from ‘Narayanete Moonnamakkal’
Everything inNarayanente MoonnamakkalNot of restraint-is marked by normal quality. This is something that punctures conversations, as well as approach to Appu Prabhakar’s camera movements and the content of director Sharan Venugopal. This restraint, which is maintained completely, is notable for whatever is being said in the film, weighty, emotional issues that can easily slip into a vigorous treatment.
It is a film that is also clear from a big event. Rather it lends to its thoughtful characters to pull the memorable moments that reveal their innermost feelings. This also means that the film does not hit any high moment, but director Sharan Venugopal, who also wrote the film, seems to be only the material to stay in this place to tease his innumerable huge.
There is a lot common in the settings Aalkkoottathil thaniyeInitially, we understand that there is some bad blood between the eldest brother Vishwanathan (Alnsier Leopage) and Bhaskar (Suraj Venjaramud), coming back home after the youngest decades. Sethu (Jujee George), the middle one, which is considered to be one by the other two, seems to be the most intelligent among the three.
Narayanant Moonnamakkal (Malayalam)
Director: Sharan Venugopal
Mold: Jujee George, Suraj Venjaramud, Allencier Le Lopez, Gargi Anantan, Shelli Kishore
Runtime: 117 minutes
Story: As his mother is located on death, three brothers, who have been separated for a long time, come together in the ancestral house, bring back the previous memories and conflicts.
But the film mostly sees the family through the eyes of the younger generation-Athira (Gargi Anantan) and her cousin Nikhil (Thomas Matthew)-which tries to relieve tension within the family, while even with her limit Is struggling Emotions and previous trauma. The film also depends on those who depend on their mild struggle, which can receive conflicting reactions from the audience, the way they see it. But the screenplay author handled it to some extent by converting it into a gentle call for better understanding among humans, a call that especially leaves to grow up in the film.
As more young filmmakers are doing these days, shelter, even criticizing, takes a non-judicial approach of flawed characters, with an understanding of the social context in which he grew up. Vishwanathan, who still handles the pain of the casteist, has been directed by a neighbor to his father, in another context, his regressive, communal face is revealed. But, so far in another scene, we get more round feeling of man through our daughter’s words and from the task of passing a dish on the dinner table, from his work to a character clearly hate. We then see someone who is trying to get rid of his contradictory bigotry, but is not completely successful on him, especially when anger gets better than that.
Gargi Anantan with Jujee George is successful in bringing a sense of depth to the characters through his performance, which holds the key in a not-a-dialogue-water film. Most other actors bring to the table that they needed.
In Narayanente MoonnamakkalSharan Venugopal hit the sweet place amidst saying that it should be said and is ignoring it quite. And, it makes all the difference.
