Mumbai: Next to Women’s Day, Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri has opened about how the entertainment industry talks about equality on one side, while women object to another.
“In the entertainment industry, there is often a delicate balance between celebrating beauty and unfortunately, objective of individuals. Cinema, as its best, has the power to display diverse stories, talents and experiences, while also portrays beauty in many forms, ”Nargis told IANS.
“However, the reality is that beauty, especially when it comes to women, can sometimes be modified and reduced to a superficial ideal. He said, it is important to accept that both men and women can be objected, although it may often feel that women face it more often. ,
Personally, Nargis navigated it by focusing on work.
“I think the part of the entertainment business involves showing attractive persons, but I always maintain clear boundaries for myself. It is about being perfect for my values, working with integrity and making sure that I am always honored for my talent and contribution beyond my presence. ,
He said: “Finally, I believe in creating a place where we can celebrate beauty without compromising someone’s dignity, and I approach my role in the industry with that mindset.”
What does equality mean for you?
Nargis said: “Equality means accepting and celebrating the vested value of each person, even though the gender. At its core, it is about recognizing that all humans, regardless of their gender, deserve equal opportunities, rights and respect.
“However, true equality also recognizes that each person brings his unique talents and abilities to the table. Not everyone is favorable for similar roles or functions – some can excel in some areas that others cannot do. ,
He said that it is important to understand that while both men and women are capable of achieving great things, their skills and strengths can be different, and should be hugged.
He said, “equality is not about believing that everyone can do everything equally, but to recognize and respect the strength of each person and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to contribute to the methods that they are best suited.”
