Pandit Ravi Shankar premiered in Chennai in support of bioplay TB care

A special performance of “enchanted”, a bio-play celebrating a bio-play, celebrated the life and heritage of the famous Pandit Ravi Shankar, was premiered last night in the museum theater.

The event serves as a funderizer for Reich, which is a Chennai-based non-profit organization dedicated to tuberculosis (TB) and other public health challenges.

In the event, actor and filmmaker Suhasini Mani Ratnam shared his struggles with tuberculosis. “I first know what tuberculosis does for the physical and mental health of a person. I have twice TB-at the age of 37 and at the age of 37. While I was lucky that I was lucky that for a family that can provide me the right treatment, he is working to support families affected by TB.

Nalini Krishnan, the co-founder and executive secretary of Access, said that despite the progress, TB is giving thousands of people in India daily.

The amount raised from the incident will support 30 ‘constellation centers’ of access to Chennai, which serves as a hub for TB care, especially for private sector people. These centers try to provide high quality, individual-focused care for people struggling with TB, and break the stigma around the disease.

The play, written and directed by playwright and singer Gauri Ramnarayan, included an artist including Yohan Chacko, RB Virraghavan, and Vidha Subramanian.

The performance also showed dancing by Renjith and Vijna, and music by famous artists like Bombay Jayashree, Aditya Prakash, Vignesh Ishwar and Chaitra Syum. The play was launched by Sneha Sheejith.

The event was supported by Amara Holmes, Sundaram Finance and Dodla Dairy.
