Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey are back as Rani and Rishu Saxena Then came Haseen DilrubaSequel to the 2021 romantic thriller Beautiful Dilruba.
Directed by Jayapradha Desai and written by Kanika Dhillon, the film follows the lead couple who embark on a new adventure after successfully covering up a murder at the end of the first film.
In the trailer Then came Haseen DilrubaRani and Rishu try to leave their troubled past behind but find themselves caught in a web of new challenges. As they try to live a peaceful life, the arrival of new faces including the mysterious Abhimanyu, played by Sunny Kaushal, throws their plans into disarray. Adding fuel to the fire is Officer Mrityunjay or Montu Chacha, played by Jimmy Shergill, a new police officer with a personal vendetta, who is hell-bent on exposing their web of lies.
On reprising her role in the new film, Taapsee Pannu said in a statement, “Reuniting with Rani feels like coming home, and I am thrilled to be stepping back into her world again. The immense love and support I have received for this film has been overwhelming. Kanika has once again crafted a phenomenal arc for Rani, taking the character to new depths. This time, the audience will see a Rani who is more fierce, more passionate, and even more complex.”
