Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will attend the special screening of the film ‘The Sabarmati Report’ this evening. The screening is scheduled to take place at Bal Yogi Auditorium in the Parliament House complex at 4 pm.
About Sabarmati Report
‘The Sabarmati Report’, releasing in theaters on November 15, is based on the 2002 Godhra train burning incident. The incident took the lives of 90 devotees and led to large-scale communal riots across Gujarat. The film stars Vikrant Massey, Raashi Khanna, Riddhi Dogra.
The film has been declared tax-free in Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. The film has so far earned Rs 33 crore at the box office.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had met the cast of the film and lauded the team for their courage in presenting the truth through the film and said that this narrative has been long overdue to serve “vested political interests”. Was suppressed by time.

Massey welcomed his first child, son Vardaan, with actor-wife Sheetal Thakur in February.
