Power couple Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma enjoy dinner date with close friends ahead of T20 World Cup

New Delhi: Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli left no stone unturned to grab all the attention as they stepped out for dinner in Mumbai ahead of the former Indian captain leaving for the T20 World Cup.

Before leaving for the US for the T20 World Cup, Virat was seen spending time with his wife and close friends former Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan and his wife Sagarika Ghatge.

Several videos and photos from Virushka’s (as fans fondly call them) dinner date have gone viral on social media.
In a video, Anushka and Virat can be seen exiting an eatery in Bandra, Mumbai along with Zaheer Khan, Sagarika Ghatge and actor-cricket presenter Gaurav Kapoor.

Anushka wore a white shirt, which she paired with blue denim, high heels and a black handheld bag. Anushka carried a black shirt and denim look in her hand.

Inside pictures of the dinner outing have also surfaced on the internet. In the picture shared by Anushka and Virat’s fan page on Instagram, the couple can be seen posing with the staff.

Earlier this month, Anushka made her first public appearance at a cricket stadium after the birth of her son Akshay Kohli.

Anushka was seen lending her unwavering support to her husband’s team Royal Challengers Bangalore in their thrilling match against Gujarat Titans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 4.

The pictures of Anushka’s bright smile and her enthusiastic support for Virat’s team quickly went viral on various social media platforms, spreading joy and admiration among fans across the world.

While this was her first public appearance after Akay’s birth, recently some glimpses of Anushka emerged during his birthday celebrations where she joined Virat and his RCB teammates in an intimate ceremony.

Royal Challengers Bangalore star Faf du Plessis shared a snapshot of the celebrations, which shows Anushka’s joyous presence among the close-knit group.

On her birthday, Virat Kohli expressed his heartfelt feelings for his beloved wife through a touching Instagram post, expressing gratitude for her unwavering support and love.

Their journey, which began with a chance meeting during a shampoo ad shoot in 2013, transformed into a beautiful bond that culminated in their fairytale wedding in 2017.

Their family expanded with the arrival of their daughter Vamika in 2021, followed by the birth of their son Akay earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli recently became the Orange Cap winner in IPL 2024, scoring 741 runs in 15 matches at an average of 61.75 and a strike rate of 154.69, including one century, five fifties and a best score of 113*. His switch to a more aggressive game as the tournament progressed was the biggest highlight of the competition, which helped his side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) turn their fortunes around after a poor start to the campaign and win six games in a row to reach the playoffs, where they lost to Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator.

Now Virat will play for India in the ICC T20 World Cup starting from June 1 in West Indies and America.

On the other hand, Anushka is gearing up for her much-awaited biopic ‘Chakda Express’, in which she is based on the life of famous cricketer Jhulan Goswami. With this project, she is making a comeback on the silver screen after a gap of four years. Before this, she was last seen in ‘Zero’.
