First look of Apple TV+ woman in the lakeThe upcoming, seven-part limited series starring Academy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Natalie Portman and Emmy Award nominee Moses Ingram has been released.
The series makes its global debut on Friday, July 19, 2024, with new episodes dropping every Friday thereafter until August 23, 2024. Directed by Alma Har’el, the series also stars Ylan Noel, Brett Gelman, Byron Bowers, Noah Jupe. , Josiah Cross, Mickey Madison and Pruitt Taylor Vince.
A synopsis from the producers reads, “When a young girl’s disappearance rocks the city of Baltimore on Thanksgiving 1966, two women’s lives are thrown on a deadly collision course. Maddie Schwartz (Portman), a Jewish housewife who wants to leave behind a secret past and reinvent herself as an investigative journalist, and Cleo Sherwood (Ingram), a single mother struggling to support her family. Working on the political foundation of Black Baltimore. Their disparate lives seem parallel at first, but when Maddy becomes focused on Cleo’s mysterious death, a chasm opens that puts everyone around them in danger.
