In one step, which is likely to surprise fans of Malayalam cinema’s blockbuster Rome-Com-Com ‘Premlu, manufacturer-director Dilish Pothan has confirmed that the eager sequel to eager will never kill the floor soon. Although earlier plans indicated in shooting in mid -2025 for ‘Premlu 2’, the immediate focus of the Bhani Studios is now on another film with director Girish advertisement.
Speaking during a campaigner interview for his upcoming film ‘Rontth’ with Roshan Matthew, Dilesh revealed that the next project under the Bhawan Studio, which is in the co-ownership of Pothan, Fahd Fasil and Sayam Pushkran, is actually with Girish-but not fans are expected.

In a clear chat with Q, Dilesh clarified, “Our next immediate project will not be ‘Premlu 2’, it is another direction venture of Girish Advertisement.” It comes as an important update, given the earlier announcement that ‘Premlu 2’ will begin shooting by mid -June 2025 and will be released later this year.
The sequel promised the director Girish advertisement with his co-writer Kiran Josi and original artists to bring back with Naslean, Mamita Baiju, Sargeth Pratap and Akhila Bhargavan. However, the latest comments of Dilesh suggests that the sequel is still in the pipeline, it may take longer than the trust.
What’s next for Girish and Dilesh?
While the details about the untitled new project of Girish advertisement are under raps, his story’s fans are ready for a new story soon under the Bhawan Studio banner. Meanwhile, Derish Pothan also confirmed that he was developing his fourth direction project after the Fahd Fasil-Starr ‘Joji’ from 2021. No more information about his upcoming direction has been revealed yet.
This development leaves the fate of ‘Premlu 2’ in Limbo, but fans hope. Finally, cooperation with the Girish advertisement of Bhalana Studio has previously resulted in the Box-Office Gold, and expectations are already moving forward.
