It seemed to be a “rapid-fire” concert right from the moment Ramya Kiranmayi started the first rendition of Mysore Vasudevachar.Nadasangam, ‘Pranamamyham’ in Raga Gaula in Narada Gana Sabha. Niraval‘Siddhi Vinayakam’ is quite unusual and is reminiscent of the legendary Thanjavur Kalyanaraman.

The youth team also included Chetna Shekhar on violin and GN Bhuvan on mridangam. His focused and clean presentation made the evening truly special.

Ramya continued the fast paced Papanasam Sivan kriti in Raga Atana ‘Nee Erangayenil’. After a brief alapana, he sang his next composition ‘Sudhamayi Sudhanidhi’ in Raga Amritvarshini. The decoding of the raga in Ramya’s alapana was accurate.

This was followed by the fast-paced Kanada work ‘Ninad Neela Neerjaksha’. In this, Saint Tyagaraja emphasizes how one’s spiritual progress depends on hard-earned renunciation, while worldly happiness depends on material wealth, and there is no point in blaming the lotus-eyed Lord. Ramya’s speech was clear and her language was clearWas measured.

The main composition of the day was in Raga Thodi – ‘Ninne Namminaadu’, in Mishra Chapu. Niraval was on ‘Kamakshi Kanchdhalayadkshi’ and Ramya was supported by Chetna. Ramya, a violinist herself, was able to get to know Thodi well in her limited time together.

Bhuvan’s consistency was crisp and effortless. his arai paddleAndFaran was crystal clear and his Tani Avtaranam was a testament to his beautiful playing. The main operations were separate, and proceeded unhindered. ,Kamakshi Kanchdhalayadakshi.

The young trio’s concert was gratifying.
