Rapper Cam’ron called out CNN anchor Abby Phillip during an interview where she asked him Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs And the video in which Diddy was seen attacking Cassie Ventura. Phillippe asked Cameron, whose real name is Cameron Giles, if he recognized the side of Diddy seen in the disturbing clip.
“Everything about the video is disgusting, I’m against it,” Cameron said on Newsnight. He also said that Diddy is not his friend. “So when I saw the video I was a little nervous because I know him.”
When the interview took such a bad turn
However, when Philip repeated the question, the interview went haywire. “I don’t know him like that. What do you mean did I recognize him? I saw him,” he said. “What do you mean by my experiences? I looked at it and I thought it was disgusting, I didn’t zoom in to see if it was actually him or anything, but he admitted it was him, so yes, it was him.
Diddy’s video shows him throwing his ex-girlfriend Ventura to the ground, dragging her down the aisle and throwing things at her. After the video went viral, Diddy apologized in a video message on Instagram and said that he takes “full responsibility” for his actions and that he was at his “lowest point” when the video was taken.
Philip asked Cameron what he thought about the apology. “The apology isn’t for me, it’s for Cassie,” Cameron replied. “He’s not doing anything for me. It doesn’t matter what I think about it. You’ll have to ask Cassie if she accepts the apology. I said what I said.”
A clearly insulted Phillippe then played a video of Cameron talking to rapper Mase on his podcast. Cameron is seen in the video asking Mase why he took him to The Notorious B.I.G. instead of Diddy’s Bad Boy Records after he got the record deal.
“As much as I saw you as a good friend, I wanted you with someone I knew,” Mase said in the clip. “I knew right away that Biggie would do the right thing with you.”
Cameron became frustrated when asked about Diddy’s behavior in the music industry. He took a sip of Pinkhorsepower and said, “Sorry, I’m going to get some abuse after this Horsepower drink.”
The rapper referred to Diddy by his nickname, saying, “I don’t really know Puff like Mase knows Puff.” “I appreciate what Mase said and of course, he’s my brother, so if he feels that way, he feels the same way. I can’t really tell you how the puff runs, Mase would know better than me.
Cameron went to promote his podcast, after which Phillippe asked him about the music industry and whether Diddy is being protected by people in high places. “Who is the talent agent for this joint? Do you think I am sitting and watching what Didi is doing? I didn’t know it was a diddy joint y’all invited me to. Who booked me for this joint?” He retaliated.
