Hyderabad: Rashmika Mandanna expressed disappointment over the arrest of ‘Pushpa’ co-star Allu Arjun in connection with the tragic death of a woman during the Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad.
Taking to Instagram, Rashmika came out in support of Allu Arjun and said that it is “heartbreaking”.
“I can’t believe what I’m seeing right now.. The incident that occurred was an unfortunate and extremely tragic incident. However, it is disappointing to see everything being blamed on a single person. This situation is both unbelievable and heartbreaking ” she wrote.

On Friday morning, Chikkadpally police arrested Allu Arjun in the stampede case and took him from his residence to Chikkadpally police station for questioning.
Apart from this, three people related to the incident have been arrested. The police registered a case at Chikkadpally police station, citing dangerous crowd management practices that contributed to the tragedy.
On December 4, Allu Arjun and the team of ‘Pushpa 2’ visited Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad for the screening. A huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the star, creating a stampede-like situation. A 35-year-old woman died, and her son was hospitalized.
After this, Allu Arjun expressed his grief.
At the film’s success meet on 7 December, he said, “The incident that happened at Sandhya theater is very unfortunate… I am shocked. It took me many hours to process it. I couldn’t cope with it psychologically; it took a lot of time. Put.” It took me about 10 hours. We all went quiet when we heard the news.” He pledged support to the bereaved family, adding, “We will always be there and try to support the family.”
Director Sukumar, who worked with Allu Arjun in ‘Pushpa 2’, also expressed his grief.
“I have worked on this film for more than six years, but for the last three days I am not happy because a director is always sensitive. Whether three years or six years, I can’t make a life out of what happened. I am heartbroken, I am so sorry…I apologize to the family and assure you that we will always support you,” he said, clearly horrified.
Before the success meet, Allu Arjun expressed his condolences on social media and promised financial support to the family of the deceased woman. He wrote, “We express our deepest condolences to the family. We understand that no words or actions can compensate for the loss you have suffered.” He announced a contribution of Rs 25 lakh and committed to cover the medical expenses of the injured son.
