Raveena Tandon assault case: Zonal DCP clarifies that actress' car did not hit anyone

Mumbai: There has been a new twist in the alleged road rage case involving actress Raveena Tandon. A senior police officer has clarified that the actress’ car did not touch the women, and an argument broke out between them when Raveena got out of the car to confront them.

Zone 9 DCP Raj Tilak Roshan said, “Raveena was coming home. Her car was reversing. A woman passing by got angry at her driver and asked him to drive carefully. The car did not touch the woman, but an argument started between the two.”

He further told that Raveena got down from the car and started arguing.

“We do not have any written complaint from either side, so there is no case. No one has been injured,” he said.

Raveena claimed that the mob attacked her. A source close to the actress said that after Raveena’s car entered the building, the group started demanding the driver to come out and talk to them. When the situation worsened, Raveena tried to intervene and got injured in the process.

Earlier, a video of a clash between the actress and locals went viral on the internet. In the video, the locals accused Raveena and her driver of assaulting three women, including an elderly woman.

According to media reports, the incident took place near Rizvi College on Carter Road in Mumbai. In the video, the actress can also be seen being attacked by women.
