In the mid -1930s, a 10 -year -old and her elder sister attended a Summer Music School run by music expert and composer Professor Sambanthi. Setha has performed with famous musicians, with violin players Dwaram Mangathyaru, A. Kanyakumari, RK Sriramakumar, PP Ramakrishnan, Mridivist Thanjavur R Kumar, KV Prasad and Ghatam Karthik are included.
