An $ AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayors, was acquitted of all allegations in his attack case after a three -week court proceedings. Rapper was accused of shooting for his former friend, Terrael Ephron (also known as $ AP Railley) in Hollywood, California in 2021.
As the first verdict was given, a jubilant Rocky jumped into the audience to embrace his long -time partner Rihanna, which was present throughout the test.
Shortly after the verdict, Rihanna released her first public statement. Taking it on Instagram, he wrote, “The glory is only that of God and God. Gentle. Humble with his mercy.”
A $ AP Rocky, expressing his gratitude to the jury, thanked them, “Thank you for saving my life.” Jury, consisting of 12 members – five men and seven women – Rocky was not found guilty after consulting the evidence presented carefully.
Rocky did not testify in his defense during the trial. He had earlier rejected a pre-trial petition, resulting in a six-month jail sentence. Instead, he selected to prosecute and faced the possibility of up to 24 years in jail for 24 years when found guilty.
After the trial, he joined Rihanna and her family in the courtyard, expressed his relief and said, “I am grateful and blessed to come here now, talking to Y’All to be an independent person I have been. “
The test attracted significant attention not only for legal drama, but also due to the frequent presence in Rihanna’s court. On 13 February, she appeared with her two children for the closing arguments of the trial.
Rocky was facing allegations of two hooliganism related to a shooting incident outside the W Hotel in Hollywood. On November 6, 2021, a confrontation between Rocky and Ephron occurred on the Hollywood Bulleward, where Rocky allegedly pointed to a gun on Ephron’s head and abdomen. Ephron claimed that one of the bullets held his hand.
Along with Efron, Rocky and others, the New York -based Rap was part of the collective A $ AP Mob, which was founded in 2006 by the late Steven Rodrigue (A $ AP Yams). The collective was known to include rappers, music video directors, fashion designers and bikers.
