British singer-songwriter Rita Ora has paid an emotional tribute to One Direction star Liam Payne, who passed away on October 16. While hosting the MTV Europe Music Awards 2024 on Sunday, Ora broke into tears as Payne recalled to Us Weekly. “Just want to take a moment to remember a person who was very, very dear to us. We lost him recently and he was a huge part of the MTV world and my world, and I feel that at home And you’ve got a lot on everyone here tonight,” Ora spoke into the mic during the ceremony, which was staged at Co-op Live in Manchester, England.
She described Liam Payne as “one of the kindest people” she knew. Ora continued, “We’ve been talking about ways to honor him and I think sometimes, just speaking is enough. He had the biggest heart and was always there to help in any way he could.” Was the first one to offer.”
As the crowd cheered on Ora, the Let You Love Me singer paid tribute to Payne in the MTV video. “Let’s take a moment to remember our friend Liam,” Ora directed.
