Thanking fans for their concern, Saba Pataudi wrote, “Relax after a long week! So moved by such concern from so many people who checked in to know how I am around the world, and wishing brother a speedy recovery and the love and strength of the family, along with their support. Blessed n grateful. Thank you.”
Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times in the wee hours of 16 January 2025 at his Bandra residence during a robbery attempt.
Meanwhile, the Association of Medical Consultants Mumbai wrote to the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) pointing fingers at the speedy approval of claims.
Health insurance expert, Nikhil Jha took to hisX, (formerly known as Twitter) and shared the letter sent by Medical Consultants Mumbai. “The normal procedure is to ask for an FIR copy in medicolegal cases,” he wrote on the micro-blogging site. The insurance company waived this requirement and immediately approved the cashless request for Rs 25 lakh. The final bill was apparently Rs 36 lakh which was also approved. The surgery and stay of 4 days does not justify the huge bill and quick approval”. He said, “Had it been any ordinary person the company would have applied reasonable and customary charges and not made the claim. Irdai should answer as to why Niva Bupa gave preferential treatment to a celebrity and the claim for ordinary people. Made it difficult to do?”
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police has already arrested the suspect identified as Tejashwi Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Faqir.
