Disgraced rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has spoken out against the legal challenges and media scrutiny he faces during his trial on serious sex trafficking charges.
Recently denied bail for the third time, Combs and his legal team argue that aggressive media coverage and prosecutorial actions have irreparably damaged his reputation. “Mr. Combs fully intends to face these charges,” Combs’ attorneys said.
“The prospect of being convicted does not significantly change his incentives here, where his reputation has already been destroyed by the government’s allegations and aggressive and misleading media tactics and can only be rebuilt by winning at trial. “

The defense also argued that the government’s story was “fictitious” and accused prosecutors of adopting a “dramatic twist” to influence public perception.
Prosecutors charged Combs with obstruction of justice from behind bars
One of the key pieces of evidence is hotel security footage that allegedly shows Combs attacking his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. However, Combs’ legal team has contested the video, claiming it has been manipulated to misrepresent the events. They described the incident as a “domestic dispute” and did not indicate any type of sex trafficking.
The music mogul’s council also dismissed allegations of sexual misconduct by another victim, arguing that during her many years of association with Combs, their relationship was consensual.
In fact, the court has rejected all of his release bids, with the latest even rejecting a $50 million bail package subject to riding conditions such as monitoring measures. Prosecutors claim Combs is an extremely dangerous individual who has continued to jeopardize justice while in prison.
Prosecutors cited his recent birthday social media posts, which were allegedly organized by Combs, as an attempt to influence public opinion. Combs’ lawyers swiftly responded, “Finally, the Government pays close attention to Mr. Combs’ request that his family post an Instagram to celebrate his birthday.”

“We do not believe that a social media post showing his family’s love and birthday wishes violated a court order. Even if it presents him in a more positive light than the extremely unfavorable media coverage that has dominated the public narrative about Mr. Combs during the past year.
