In the video post, she said: “It’s very hard to reflect on the worst times of your life, but sometimes you have to do it. I was mad. I mean, I’ve hit rock bottom. But I don’t make any excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in this video. they are disgusting. I was disgusted when I did this, I am disgusted now. I went and sought professional help. I’m going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for His mercy and grace. I’m so sorry, but I’m committed to becoming a better person every day. I am not apologizing. I am truly sorry.”
Video verified by CNN shows Shawn running down a hotel corridor in March 2016, possibly with a towel wrapped around his torso. He proceeds to attack Ventura near an elevator at the now-closed Intercontinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles. Then he grabs her from behind and pushes her to the floor.

The dispute also matches the claims made in Ventura’s lawsuit. The statement in her lawsuit says that around March 2016, Shawn was “extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, causing her a black eye.”
In a statement to Variety, Cassie Ventura’s attorney Douglas H. Wigdor said: “The heartbreaking video further confirms Mr. Combs’s disturbing and violent behavior. “Words cannot express the courage and patience that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
