Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs could spend new life behind bars…

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs appeared in Manhattan federal court Thursday morning for a hearing in his sex trafficking case. Justice Arun Subramanian, who recently succeeded Justice Andrew L. Carter Jr., has set a tentative hearing date of May 5. But there is a flood of new allegations against the music mogul, which are increasing by the hour.

Combs is still in custody, denied bail, as more than 120 people have come forward with allegations against him. (Reuters)

Prosecutor Emily Johnson revealed that the U.S. Attorney’s Office is currently investigating 100 electronic devices seized from Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami. Additional devices taken from the rapper at the airport and a New York hotel are also being analyzed as part of the investigation.

The Bad Boy singer pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including charges of forced sex trafficking, fraud, prostitution and abuse. And if found guilty, the rapper could be sentenced to life in prison.

The allegations against Combs date back to 2008 and include serious allegations of sexual misconduct and exploitation. During the hearing, Judge Subramaniam ordered that the prosecution should provide its evidence to the defense by the end of the year.

Combs entered the courtroom smiling and greeting family members present with his hands in prayer. His appearance in court comes just a day after his lawyers filed a lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The lawsuit claims that DHS unlawfully leaked sensitive information about Combs, including a 2016 video allegedly showing him physically assaulting his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a Los Angeles hotel hallway. Combs’ legal team argues, “If someone who is not in law enforcement had leaked the videotape to a news source, that person likely would have sold the tape rather than giving it to CNN.”

Ventura previously filed a lawsuit against Combs in November 2023, alleging sexual abuse and sex trafficking during their relationship. The suit was settled a day after it was filed. Additionally, Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee cited more than 120 individuals who have come forward with allegations against Combs, including a nine-year-old child.

Buzbee said the charges would include “violent sexual assault or rape, sexual intercourse with a controlled substance, dissemination of video recording, sexual exploitation of minors.”
