Diddy’s legal team has proposed strict bail conditions in an effort to get him out, including home detention and GPS monitoring.
It looks like Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and his legal team are desperate to get him out as they have filed a new petition for pre-trial release. He has filed a third appeal in the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Diddy was twice previously denied bail by the court, despite an offer of $50 million instead of the average of $2 million. He is currently being held in harsh conditions at the Metropolitan Center in Brooklyn as he awaits trial.

Diddy filed a third appeal
Diddy’s new appeal challenges a previous decision by the Southern District of New York, which twice denied him bail due to obstruction of justice and witness tampering charges against the mogul. As Page Six reports, Diddy’s legal team has filed a third appeal with reasonable bail conditions, citing a lack of evidence and alleged legal errors in the court’s decision.
Prosecutors were worried that if granted bail, the rapper would attempt to intimidate witnesses and hinder the case. He also suggested that given the state of his wealth and private aircraft he took the risk of flying. Diddy was willing to offer his Miami mansion and his mother’s house as bail in addition to the $50 million bond for the prison. He was also prepared to wear a GPS monitor at all times and sell his private plane, as well as restricting his movements to New York and Miami, reportedly being stationed in Los Angeles.

The defense has argued that the government’s earlier claims are “vague” and “speculative” because it failed to provide evidence that Diddy posed a threat to the community or engaged in witness tampering. He asserted that the court had made a legal error in its decision by making the decision “without fact finding or analysis.”
Diddy’s team also said that they have prepared a “strong bail package with extremely restrictive conditions” for Diddy including house arrest with GPS monitoring, no availability of mobile phones and zero access to the internet, 24/7.
