A former assistant to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has said the video of him violently attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura is not surprising. Suzie Siegel, who assisted Diddy in 2008 and 2009 when he was dating Ventura, told CNN that “there wasn’t a single cell in my body that was surprised” by the 2016 video.
“I felt sick and I was very angry,” Siegel said. “It’s so disturbing that the video doesn’t lie.”
Siegal said he spent a lot of time in the limo and at parties with Ventura and Diddy when he was the rapper’s assistant, adding that he “never saw him talk harshly to her or be disrespectful or anything like that. ” She added, “I was around him a lot and I realized who he was.” “I haven’t seen anything that could get him in trouble but I think there’s a power dynamic in a situation like this, especially early in his career,” he said.
‘When he looked at you he didn’t see your humanity’
Diddy and Ventura’s on-again, off-again relationship began when he was 37 and she was 19. Ventura was signed to Music Mogul’s label. “Imagine what that would be like. And then he’s rich. And he’s not only rich, he controls your career,” Siegel said.
Siegel said that her “female intuition” led her to believe that Diffie might be violent, as evidenced by the way he interacted with people around him. “I saw that nobody was abused, I didn’t feel abused, but it was very clear to me, again, it’s intuition… When he looked at you he didn’t see your humanity,” she said.
The disturbing video shows Ventura fleeing Diddy’s room at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles barefoot. As she tries to get on the elevator, Diddy comes at her, grabs her neck and pushes her to the ground. He is seen kicking Ventura, pulling him by his sweatshirt, and throwing things at him as he lay on the hallway floor.
