During his appearance at an emergency court hearing in New York on Tuesday, Diddy’s lawyer Mark Agnifilo accused prosecutors of a “complete institutional failure”, which he claims could jeopardize the case.

Lawyers argued that Diddy’s “constitutional rights” were violated after federal agents seized 19 pages of the rapper’s notes during last month’s raid and shared them with prosecutors.

What was in Didi’s handwritten confidential notes?

According to Agnifilo, Diddy’s handwritten confidential notes to his legal staff regarding defense strategy for his impending trial were among the materials.

Additionally, the rapper’s “things to do” list included instructions for his family member to “find dirt” on the two suspected victims, as well as pages where he placed “inspirational” phrases for himself, he said. Said further.

According to Agnifilo, the premeditated purge was a “pretext” for prison officials to target the rapper.

Withdrawal of the prosecution team or “dismissing the indictment” are two possible solutions, he said.

What did Judge Arun Subramanian say?

After hearing their plea, Judge Arun Subramaniam directed the prosecution to temporarily destroy all copies of the documents.

The defense filed additional court documents Friday saying they learned that prosecutors had confidential material from the Oct. 28 raid. This led to an emergency hearing.

Agnifilo told the court that defense lawyers are currently investigating the incident to determine the gravity of the situation.

To determine what happened during the search, he said, the court should examine security tapes from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where Diddy is being detained.

Subramaniam directed the Prison Bureau to preserve the video.

Diddy, who was arrested on September 17, is being held in jail pending trial for transportation for his involvement in sex trafficking and prostitution.

The rapper has denied all charges and will go to trial in May.
