SEVENTEEN swoops in for big win ahead of Jeonghan’s recruitment; BTS closes out Top 5 Sept boy group brand value ranking

Sep 15, 2024 12:55 am IST

About two weeks ahead of Jeonghan’s military enlistment on September 26, SEVENTEEN has once again dominated the monthly boy group brand reputation rankings.

After topping the table with the highest brand reputation value index in July, snapping SEVENTEEN’s impressive months-long winning streak, BTS soon slipped to second place in August. Climbing back to the top last month, SEVENTEEN has again overtaken the globally acclaimed septet in the September boy group brand reputation rankings. This is the eighth month in which the 13-member boy group has topped the roster, with the only exception so far being in July 2024 when the self-produced music act overtook BTS and sits firmly in second place.

About two weeks before Jeonghan’s military enlistment scheduled for September 26, SEVENTEEN has once again dominated this month’s boy group brand reputation rankings.

SEVENTEEN’s nearly complete Victory Tour this month earned 3,330,977 brand points, following Korea Business Research Institute’s extensive data analysis from Aug. 14 to Sept. 14. With the group’s Lollapalooza debut in Berlin as well as Jeonghan’s impending military enlistment making headlines, the PLEDIS Entertainment boy band notably had an edge over competitors on the list.

Stray Kids, trailing SEVENTEEN, rose from third place last month to second place with a brand value score of 1,906,672. SHINee came in third with an index of 1,645,894.

The Boyz saw significant growth after rising from a #9 rank in August to #4 in September, scoring 1,408,457. Meanwhile, BTS dropped from their previous second spot to fall out of the top 5 this month, scoring 1,377,380.
