The much awaited teaser for Shadow The first press was presented today. The teaser immediately takes its audience into a compelling world with emotional and visually impressive story.
The film is directed by the first filmmaker Tanushree Das and Soumayanand Sahi, and is selected to be a premiere at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, where this new introduction will compete in the perspective section.
The film plays the national award winning actor Tilotama Shom Maya, Chandan Bisht as Sundar, Suman Saha as Constable Ripon, and Sion Karmakar as a debut.
This is the story of Maya (Tilotama Shom), who is busy awakening several jobs at once, while she also takes care of her teenage son and her husband, a retired soldier who is struggling with PTSD. In unexpected circumstances, her husband suddenly disappears, and Maya find herself in the fight to survive which challenges her strength, love and flexibility.
Director Tanushree Das said, “in ShadowWe wanted to find the invisible battles fought every day within families – the cool endurance of women, the stigma around mental health, and in ways that are interacted in an unforgivable world in existence. Maya, Nayak’s journey is a reflection of countless women who fight to keep their families together, despite obstacles against them. We hope that the film not only throws light on these conflicts, but also enhances the conversation about flexibility and the silent strength of women. ,
