Anshuman Sinha, son of famous singer Sharda Sinha, said that it is a sad time for the family and her loved ones as she passed away on the first day of Chhath Puja. According to news agency ANI report, Anshuman said that she will always remain in the hearts of people. Giving information about the last rites, Anshuman said that his body will be taken to Patna on Wednesday morning. Anshuman talks about his mother

About Sharda’s funeral

About Sharda Sinha

The folk singer, popularly known as Bihar Kokila, died at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi around 9.20 pm on Tuesday due to refractory shock resulting from septicemia. She was battling multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, which was diagnosed in 2018. His condition deteriorated on Monday, after which he was put on ventilator.

A veteran of the music industry since the 1970s, she has made immense contributions to Bhojpuri, Maithili and Hindi folk music and is known for her soulful renditions of folk music. Known for her contribution to the traditional folk music of Bihar and her iconic Chhath song, Sharda is considered a cultural ambassador of the region.
