Mumbai- Bollywood actor Shekhar Suman has joined BJP. Shekhar Suman took BJP membership in the presence of Vinod Tawde at BJP headquarters in Delhi. Along with Shekhar Suman, Congress spokesperson Radhika Khera has also joined the BJP.

After joining the BJP, Shekhar Suman said that till yesterday I did not know that I will be sitting here today. Many things in life happen knowingly or unknowingly. I have come here with a very positive mind and want to thank God that He ordered me to come here and I have come with BJP.

Shekhar Suman has not entered politics for the first time. Before this, he has also tried his luck in politics in 2009. In May 2009, Shekhar Suman contested the Lok Sabha election from Patna Sahib against Shatrughan Sinha on a Congress ticket. However, at that time he had to face defeat.

Recently, Shekhar Suman has been seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series Hiramandi. The series was released on Netflix this month. Shekhar Suman’s acting in Hiramandi is getting a lot of praise. Along with Shekhar Suman, his son Adhiyan Suman is also seen in this series. Apart from the actress, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmeen Segal, Farida Jalal and Fardeen Khan have been seen playing important roles.

The story of the film Hiramandi is set in the British era, where the women of a brothel are fighting the British in the war of freedom. This series has been released on Netflix. Actresses like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha will be seen acting in this series.
