All eyes are on the marriage of Shobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya. Although the guest list is expected to be “tight”, Allu Arjun and his family will be present at the wedding, reports IANS. “Allu Arjun and his family will be attending Naga Chaitanya and Shobhita’s wedding in Hyderabad. All roads really do lead to the city for this special celebration,” a source close to the wedding shared, as quoted by IANS. Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya will get married at Annapurna Studios, which holds a sentimental value for the Akkineni family symbolizing their long legacy in the Telugu film industry. Established in 1976 by his famous grandfather Akkineni Nageswara Rao, this 22-acre estate in Banjara Hills has long been a symbol of cinematic talent and family pride.
The pre-wedding celebrations of Shobhita and Naga Chaitanya started last week. First, they celebrated Mangalasnanam and Haldi ceremony, followed by Pelli Kuthuru (equivalent to bridal bath) ceremony. Shobhita shared stunning pictures from the ceremony on her Instagram feed. Dressed in a red saree, the bride-to-be was glowing. Sharing the pictures, Sobhita wrote, “Pelli Kuthuru” and a red heart emoji.
A source who attended the ceremony told IANS, “Shobitha’s wedding festivities began with the Peli Raata ceremony, which is usually performed before a girl becomes a bride. Then they performed the Mangalasananam rituals, which is the Telugu version of Haldi.” He also had Pelli Kuthuru.” At the ceremony Shobhita was in bridal attire, aarti was performed and the married women blessed her and gave her bangles, later Naga Chaitanya and his family also joined for lunch. As per the news agency report, on her big day the actress will wear jewelery like mathapatti, bajuband and kamarband along with many other attractive jewellery.
The engagement of Naga Chaitanya and Shobhita Dhulipala took place on 8 August. Nagarjuna announced the good news on X. He wrote, “We are happy to announce the engagement of our son Naga Chaitanya to Shobhita Dhulipala, which took place today at 9:42 am.” We are extremely happy to welcome him to our family. For those unaware, Naga Chaitanya was previously married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They married in 2017 and announced their separation in a joint statement in October 2021.
