This year, to mark a decade of the Morning Raga series, the Habitat Center went back to the routes and the series included only ITC Guru and scholars. Thus, Delhi-Its heard a new generation of excellent musicians-Sardist Abir Hussain, Sitarwadi Ayan Sengpta, and singer Debershi Bhattacharjee, and Alik Sengupta and Sangborty Das. It is interesting to note that a handful of Guru – PT. Buddhadev Dasgupta, Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar and PT. Ajoy Chakraborty has produced these young and talented musicians.
The atmosphere was pleasing – any birdsong could listen, green leaves were fluttering overhead, the sun was slowly walking in an arc on the audience sitting, many of which were young. The stage was decorated in yellow and orange spring colors, and had a sitting place as usual meeting Style.
In the line-up of the artists, the style of Sangborty Das was complicated. After listening to her song, one was eager to learn more about her. Sangborti is from a family of doctors. However, in his twenty -nine condition, he performed like an experienced artist. He trained at the music school Sruti Nandan, established by PT Ajoy Chakraborty. She currently continues her training in ITC SRA and teaches there over the weekend.
Sangborti is blessed with a clear ringing voice, which constantly conducts the note; She was capable of focusing the audience at her first concert in Delhi. The fusion of her dictionary and lyrics was impeccable, and the presence of her platform was pleasing. Wisely, she did not try what she was not convinced about.

Sangborty then switched to a traditional Tarana in Kishore Tal, which was taught at an ITC workshop by Ustad Mashkur Ali Khan of Kiran Gharana – Sangborty learned it from his Gurubhai Brajeshwar Mukherjee.
The concert concluded with ‘Kaliyan Gaya Karat Rang Raleyan’. Despite the strong sunlight, the audience was not in the mood to let it go, so Sangborty ended with a Bhairavi Thumri ‘Baju Band Khull Jai’. Vinay Mishra’s emotional game on the harmonium was commendable for this piece.
The tabla was veteran PT Ashok Mukherjee from Kolkata, whose on-stage coordination with the singer was clearly visible. One praised the gesture of the songborty in appreciating the music input of his Sangatists.
