Chennai: For the first time in India, a full-length feature film is being made with a real lion.
The film titled ‘Singha’, V. A grand scale is being built by Mathialgan, in collaboration with the film House Private Limited, under the banner of etc. They were under the banner.
Singha, being directed by KC Ravi Devan, acts in the head Sririta Rao.
For unknown, KC Ravithavan, an alumnus of a film institute, was a former assistant director of ‘Ulganayagan’ Kamal Haasan. Sreeta Rao, who previously starred in films like ‘Lenin Pandian’ and ‘Kumki 2’ directed by Prabhu Solomon, plays the lead role in the film.

Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi are being produced as a Pan-India film, ‘Singha’ V. It is the 14th film produced by Mathialgan. Experienced producer is known for bancold films of films like ‘Appa’, ‘Coluithir Kalam’, ‘Maha’, ‘Maannathirunthu Parkam Maramam Ana’ and ‘Samanayi’.
Speaking about the film, director KC Ravithavan said: “We are making this challenging film by following all the necessary protocols and guidelines. When we contacted some leading actresses for the role, although they liked the story, they used to hesitate to act with a real lion.
“A negative female character in the film was to work with 300 wolves. After a rigorous discovery, we got the right, fearless actress. Lisha Eklairs, who has acted in films like ‘1945’, ‘Pothunlan Kaurathi’ and ‘Jawa’, has effectively played the role,” she said.
The film is being shot at several places including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Zambia, Goa, Tenkasi and Visakhapatnam. “Since the story is global, we are making ‘Singha’ as a Pan-Indian film. We believe that everyone from children to adults-you will enjoy this film.”
On the technical front, ‘Singha’ will have music by Amrish and conversation by Kannan Selvaraj. The cinematography for the film is by PG Muttiah and the production design is by Hasini Pavithra. The film will be edited by Tamil Arsan, while the stunt is being choreographed by Stunner Sam.
