Bollywood actor Sonu Sood is actively contributing to relief efforts for flood affected areas of Punjab. Sood known for their philanthropy is providing assistance to those whose homes have been destroyed in recent floods, and they emphasize the need for continuous efforts in the coming months.
Speaking to the media, Sood described a critical situation in Punjab, where the water level has resumed, but the damage to homes and infrastructure is serious.
“The situation in Punjab is still bad. The water level is still decreasing. But the real help will be given now. People still need. People’s homes have been demolished. We have made a big list of people whose houses have been demolished. We are trying to help them.”

The actor claims that he has distributed helpline numbers to flood affected areas of Punjab so that they can contact them when they need help.
“As we come to know about their needs, we will keep addressing them. But whatever is helping them, I would like to tell them that they are doing very good work. However, real help will be provided in the next six months. We have made a permanent helpline. We send those who are needy, and we try to help them,” Sonu Sud said.
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood expressed his happiness with the consolidated relief efforts of individuals and the Punjab government in response to the flood situation in the state.
While interacting with the media, Sonu Sood shared the current situation in Punjab, saying that there are about 2,000 villages which are affected by the floods in the state.
In response, the actor expressed his happiness over the regime and relief efforts provided by individuals.
“There are a lot of problems. There are about 2,000 villages that are still affected. And around 4.5 lakh acres have been damaged. But everyone has a passion.
On consolidated efforts by persons including Punjabi singers and actors and state government, the actor said, “When there is a problem at this level, it is not just a government. A person has to move forward and work hard.”

Sonu Sood, who is actively engaged in supporting relief efforts for the state, spoke to ANI and shared his views.
“I want to thank our Honorable Prime Minister for my visit to Punjab. I will request all political parties to prepare a red carpet for their arrival. Whenever this state has to face challenges, it has always helped, and this time we need PM Modi’s support. Punjab wants to stand again, and with the help of the government, with the difficult journey, with the difficult journey,” He said.
Referring to the situation in Punjab, the actor praised the high souls of the people. He said, “We went to some villages and met people. Despite being in challenging circumstances they were welcoming us a lot,” he said.

According to the latest flood report, 1,98,525 hectares of total crop area has been affected in Punjab, which Gurdaspur (40,169 hectares), Patiala (17,690 hectares), Taran Taran (12,828 hectares), Fazilka (25,828 hectares), Fazilka (25,828 hectares), Fazilka (25,828 hectares) (17,574 hectares), etc.
According to the revenue of Punjab, Hardeep Singh, Minister of Rehabilitation and Disaster Management, has reached 56 across the state due to floods in Punjab.
