Cannes: The team of ‘Kannaappa’ made a stylish appearance at the 77th edition of the ongoing Cannes Film Festival recently. Director and choreographer Prabhudeva, producer Mohan Babu and actor Vishnu Manchu walk the prestigious red carpet before gracing the premiere of ‘Horizon: An American Saga’. Vishnu was also accompanied by his wife Viranika.

On social media, Vishnu shared several pictures along with some videos on his Instagram. They were all wearing black clothes. A clip was also posted on the official X page of the film ‘Kannaappa’ in which the team of the film is seen on the red carpet.

The clip was shared with the caption, “”Grace the much awaited premiere of ‘Horizon: An American Saga’ @themohanbabu @iVishnuManchu, his wife @vinimanchu, and @PDdance #VishnuMantu to show the teaser of #Kannaappa at #Cannes2024 , going to be at the Olympia Theater this evening.” The Cannes Film Festival, held annually in Cannes, France, is one of the most prestigious and famous film festivals in the world.

Kannappa is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Manchu’s banner AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. The film also stars Preeti Mukundan, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam, Madhu and Mukesh Rishi. It will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English.

Prabhas and Akshay Kumar also have special roles in the film. The 77th edition of Cannes began on May 14 and will run till May 25.

Meanwhile, recently, Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, hosted the first-ever Bharat Parv, an evening to celebrate Indian cinema as well as India’s rich culture, cuisine and handicrafts, in the French Riviera.

The event, organized by NFDC in collaboration with FICCI under the aegis of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, was a resounding success, with Cannes delegates completely immersed in the evening’s extraordinary performances and delightful array of fusion cuisine, a release said. Over 250 delegates attended the evening which showcased Indian culture, cuisine and cinema on the global stage.

The event also saw the unveiling of the poster for the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and the save-the-date poster for the inaugural World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES).
