Spider-Man’s Green Goblin hideout in New York is looking for a new owner; Price of iconic penthouse revealed

The iconic Murray Hill penthouse in New York City that belongs to Sam Raimi, according to the StreetEasy listing Spider-Man Fans of the trilogy will recognise it instantly and it’s now up for sale. The one-bedroom Tudor City home is a big-time staple as Spider-Man supervillain Green Goblin’s hideout in all three early 2000s films. Once the fictional abode of Willem Dafoe’s timelessly sinister character, it can now be yours even if you don’t have superpowers, provided you have the money. Now listed at a price of $1.95 million, this unforgettable unit hit the market in 2021 for $1.99 million. However, it sold for a slightly lower price of $1.75 million in 2022, The New York Post reports.

The penthouse’s great room, which overlooks the Midtown skyline, has 18-foot ceilings and 15-foot-high windows. As remarkable as the unit itself is, the historic 5 Tudor City Place building in which it’s located — Windsor Tower — is also another famous landmark, featured in movies The Bourne Ultimatum, Scarface, And The Godfather Part III.

Pets are allowed, and the maintenance fee is listed at $3,721 per month.

The rarely available real estate listing also confirms that the large 1920s fireplace was “refinished to match the original mantle mirror and original moldings, and there are herringbone wood floors throughout the home.” The NYC unit’s “beautiful, hand-painted cast iron staircase takes you to the upper level.
