Boom boom in new car ad

In a new ad, Sunidhi’s distant echo and a familiar tune are heard at the beginning. Sunidhi’s rendition of Boom Boom becomes evident when the female actor holds the steering wheel and presses the accelerator. While Nazia showed classic restraint in the original song from her album, Sunidhi made the track her own with her powerful vocals. At the end of the ad, we also see actor Rahul Khanna, who was smiling at the female actor from a distance during the shoot.

There is another ad featuring Rahul in the majority, in which a male singer performs a recreated English version of Boom Boom. There is also an English version sung by Sunidhi, but it pales in comparison to her Hindi rendition.

The internet went crazy over her entertainment. An Instagram user commented, “Sunidhi’s voice (fire emoji).” Another wrote, “Amazing selection of 90 hot pop songs for the new breed of Indian EVs that are definitely going to dominate the globe. (Red heart and fire emoji).” A third comment said, “Where to get this song in her voice,” while a fourth said similarly, “They need to release this version of the song.”

This is not Sunidhi’s first recreation of Nazia song

Boom Boom is not the first Nazia Hassan song that Sunidhi has recreated. He briefly sang the late Pakistani singer’s 1981 hit Disco Deewane, which was sung by Nazia with her brother Zohaib Hasan. Disco Deewane was recreated by Vishal-Shekhar for an important dance sequence in Karan Johar’s 2012 campus thriller Student of the Year. While Nazia’s voice was retained for the chorus, Sunidhi stepped in to sing the ‘Disco Deewane’ hook line for Kajol’s cameo in the track.
