The Swanki event hall inside a star hotel was buzzing with activity. between Suzal 2 The trailer of the upcoming season was released. Team, actors Aishwarya Rajesh and Kathir and director Brama and Sarjun KM were involved, who were busy punching the text in their phone, sharing the trailer. The first season turned out as a big success, and the team, once made a glimpse of the world a glimpse of a season 2, which sits down to talk Suzal 2.

Excerpt from conversation:

What does the success of ‘Suzal’ season 1 mean?

Kathir:Suzal 2 There is a more complex story. We have revealed the real offense in the trailer itself, so there is a lot to attract your attention for six hours. Torrent Success in my development is important as an actor and as an individual. The first season, despite coming before the epidemic, at a time when people were not addicted to the series, have now found a fan of their own.

Aishwarya Rajesh: I think success SuzalAs a big budget Tamil series, the industry has brought revolution. There is always a difference between North and South film industries and when there is a series of magnitude, it hopes to the manufacturers that we can achieve a global access to our stories.

Bramma: I had a success to work on a project like the first season to include such a big team and scale. I could see the success from the stage of seeing the success in the right shape. When the audience resonated with it, we did in the same way that it became an extended success.

Sarjun, are new to your world SuzalBut you have worked your proper part in OTT space. How was it fit in this world?

Sarjun KM: I have done anthology and movies, but I have not draft for a long time. The work we do is the same but beats are different. A film consists of a beginning, middle and end point while in an episode of a 300-hit script SuzalThere will be a start point, three midpoints and a cliffhanger to finish with it.

In a film with a writer-director cooperation, the director takes the writer’s work and tweeted it according to his vision. The exact opposite happens here, because we have appearances (directors Pushkar and Gayatri), who have written the story. To convert their vision into material, they brought into two directors. There were examples where I had to ask Brama Sir to shoot a scene in a certain way because I had its continuity in the fifth episode that I had to shoot. The ecosystem is different in this format. This type of work has been done with a series in the west game of Thrones Specialty of many directors. We are getting used to it now and this collaborative style is very healthy.

Kathir, in the first season, you played the role of a crook police. How has Sakrai’s character developed in the new season?

Kathir: In the first season, my character was written keeping in mind the design of the development of a person’s life. In the first season, the character is in his hometown, where nothing is new to him. In the new season, after some events, he has gained experience. New maturity has given them a new approach to handle life and work. His journey will be reliable to everyone.

Talking about the trailer, it is surprising that it has been revealed in the crime, while the crime was a mystery in season one …

Sarjun KM: The trailer is cleverly cut; This shows that a character is dead. So the entire season is about three other questions; How and who. Thanks to many characters, Suzal 2From the perspective of a writing, there are more layers. The major characters will have their ups and downs, and the illusion will place the audience on their toes. During the shooting, both directors had to note how big this season is in everything, writing, characters and production. Under the layers, there is some poignant in this season.

Bramma: The trailer tease the Whodunnit aspect of the series but there is a lot in it. To write such a complex plot – with many characters and their journey – and it is difficult to open the audience slowly. We hope we have installed it well.

The events of the first season were in a small hill station, while season two are taking place in a coastal area. Why does the thriller have such an important element?

Sarjun KM: The decision was demonstrated. A hill station feels a terrible feel and place to shoot a lot of thrilling night shots. But in this season, it is all daylight with widespread shots. There was a challenge to bring a sense of mystery with such broad shots. It was all written and we had to translate it on screen.

Bramma: Tamil Nadu has great variety of landscape. We have one of the rare states – this is all – Kurinji (Mountain), Muli (Forest), Marutham (Cropland), Nithal (Sehore) and Palace (Dry land). Since we have touched two of them, there is space to more. In addition, apart from being unique landscapes, they have their own culture, people and their problems. Installing it in such a place provides space to find something new.

As actors, how do you feel back to play a more developed version of the characters you already played?

Aishwarya Rajesh: I remember the first day shooting. This is a court scene and I was just a good sleep. But the character should be a person who has not slept in days (LaughingKathir and I were chatting and an explosion, but the scene we shot needed to be lifeless. As a person who takes a lot of input from the director, he actually comes in handy. The original symptoms of Nandani remain the same but their feelings and emotions are completely different in this season. After committing a crime, he is disappointing until Sakrai re -entering his life. I think I have only one shot where I smile (Laughing,

Kathir: I ask my directors a lot of questions because I am eager to know if I am on the same page what they expect from me. Season is a connection of one and a special view of it can be an aspect that has made Sakkarai more mature this season.

Both filmmakers have made socially conscious films and Suzal The season touches a single several important and sensitive themes. Can we expect more on that front in season two?

Sarjun KM: Absolutely. The series is not just about the mystery. The show is global and as the first season is a fugitive hit, there is pressure to distribute and for this, it is to be packed with something else. That is the package!

It is Suzal Season one or movies Kantara What came out in the same year, such material has repeated time and how does this pan-Indian become by going local again. How do you see this trend?

Bramma: The more regional, the more it is universal. When stories are close to those in their area and for people outside it, they relate the story to the people they are accustomed to.

It is also a kind of media tourism. The aspects I am waiting for to see the audience to see in season two are Open Sea, which most of us who live in the coastal region are accepted. There are many in India who have not got the opportunity to see how much an ocean can expand. I hope the audience will enjoy the ideas we captured.

Sarjun KM: If I know that there is a show set in a small village in New Zealand, then I would love to see it. This will show me what the place will look like, its residents and their livelihood and lifestyle. There are always commercial shows and we also enjoy them but some shows stay with us for a long time. British crime drama broad church I love a show. It is also about a major crime in a small town in England and the way they show the country are different from wallpaper-worthy shots that we have seen in other shows from the UK. The experience of such a series is very unique and it will also reach the global audience. Sujal season 1 became a hit for that reason; It was about a small town, his people and lifestyle and how humans are flawed. It brings connections and reliability, it is universal and when tapped into it, it becomes global.

Suzal Season 2 will stream on prime video from February 28, 2025
