The mother of a Taylor Swift fan has put up for sale three tickets to the pop star’s November 15 concert she bought as a gift for her daughter’s 13th birthday. The video message, now going viral on social media, comes soon after the record-breaking singer endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the next presidential election.
The woman, who is now presumably the “anti-hero” in her daughter’s life, did not hesitate to express her political convictions and refer to Swift’s “non-Christian beliefs” in a clip that aired on X/Twitter earlier this week.
User @TheThe1776 forwarded his message on the social media platform on the morning of September 12 (IST), saying that his daughter has “always been a fan of Taylor Swift.”
The young Swifty’s mother immediately reaches out to the megastar’s three-day-old IG post, in which she publicly expressed her support for the Democratic presidential candidate and signed off as a “childless cat lady.”
The woman commented, “It’s really interesting that you printed out a long letter to all of your fans just two seconds after the debate between Kamala and Donald Trump, which tells me you had this written before the debate.”

“…It also tells me that you did not have an open mind. Kamala lied to everyone on stage and those of us who know, know that.”
Taking aim at Swift, the former supporter of her daughter’s love for the artist took aim at her “billionaire” status and drew a sharp contrast with “the rest of us” who are “struggling.”

“People can’t afford to buy homes, some of us are losing our businesses and if Harris comes into power, our economy will be ruined, but I know that won’t make a difference to you because you have a lot of money, private planes. You just don’t live in that kind of world,” he said, angrily in his passive-aggressive vein, echoing Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance’s criticism that Taylor is “disconnected from the interests and problems of the majority of Americans.”
Taking aim at Swift after she announced on Instagram that she would be casting her vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the November election, the Ohio senator told Fox News’ “The Story” that most Americans wouldn’t be influenced by a “billionaire celebrity.”
Moving on to Trump’s post, the “concerned mom” described Donald Trump as “the right man for the job.”
“If the United States economy suffers, the whole world will suffer, Taylor, and if the whole world suffers, your job, your career will be over, because no one will be able to go to your concerts,” he said in the video.

The longtime Swiftie mother concluded her message by declaring that she no longer wishes to spend another dollar in support of Swift, her “private plane and … non-Christian beliefs,” reiterating the message that she cannot support someone who is willing to “murder babies.”
Before dramatically “ending” her support for Taylor Swift, the mom said that abortion access and LGBTQ rights would remain unaffected under a potential Trump administration, but she continued to reinforce the idea that a “believer” would never be in favor of abortion.
As CNN previously reported, Swift’s Instagram post for Harris led to heavy traffic on vote.gov on Wednesday.
The “Blank Space” artist directly addressed first-time voters in her post, saying. “Remember you have to be registered to vote! I also think it’s much easier to vote early. I’ll post details on where to register and early voting dates in my story.”

While there’s ample evidence that her call to action inspired a massive army of voters to flock to voter registration sites, not all Gen-Z Swifties were impressed by her endorsement of Harris.

According to a small survey conducted by TMZ, two in ten Swifties said they were waiting to see who their favorite singer would endorse in the 2024 presidential race. One of these two admitted that Taylor’s message changed their pro-Trump choice, even though their initial decision was driven by a family of Trump supporters at home. The other, who was already leaning toward Kamala, said they would vote for Trump if Taylor endorsed him.
Four of the remaining Swifties strongly identified as “Swifties for Trump,” while another said they would give up their TS merch. Another fan planned to burn their TS vinyl records and other items.
