Ariana Grande is receiving a lot of praise for her stellar role in the recently released film ‘Wicked’. However, Taylor Swift fans thought Grande cheated on the pop singer after seeing a specific message. The singer, who played Glinda in the film musical, received a special message of appreciation from her former manager Scooter Braun, leaving Swifties feeling a sense of betrayal by Grande towards Swift.

A symbol of Scooter Braun’s appreciation for Grande
On Instagram, in a heartfelt message alongside a photo of the 7 Rings singer and Cynthia Erivo, Braun wrote, “Now for Ari… Everything we did there for over a decade was always the same dream … Wicked. And after all these years, the world now knows why… because you were born for this moment.”
He further added, “Your talent, your dedication, your voice, your ability to make us laugh and cry at the same time… you are a film star. And you did that. Congratulations. So proud of you and seeing Heart sing with Popular made my night. Well done, well done, well done. Everyone should go see the wicked!”
Grande saw the sweet gesture while replying to Braun’s message in the comments section. He wrote, “Thank you Scooter. What special memories. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support and being a part of this, reports The Mirror.
However, this adorable gesture was not appreciated by Swift’s fans because apparently, the two have one of the biggest feuds in the music industry. The trouble started when the Bad Blood singer said that the original recordings of her songs were taken from her without her permission. He criticized Braun and Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta for selling his masters without telling him. This led to a huge public fight and ultimately, Swift decided to re-record her songs, calling them “Taylor’s Version”, to take back control over her music.

Swift fans have criticized celebrities who continued to work with Braun following the pop singer’s revelations, including names like Justin Bieber. Grande was previously managed by Braun but recent comments let fans know she’s not on Swift’s team.
