As the 34-year-old pop star sang the opening verse of Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me during the Tortured Poets Department segment, her mirrored silver platform, which Swifties affectionately call “Toyomba,” suddenly stopped working.

The pop star chose to sing on the floor before dancing on the catwalk. His backup dancers eventually removed the broken prop from the stage of the stadium hosting 83 thousand people.

The event marked the first time the 14-time Grammy winner performed her song “Down Bad” without “Tayomba”.

Netizens praise Taylor Swift for handling the situation like a professional

While some of her fans labeled her a “seasoned professional”, others praised her, saying: “Not a beat missed, it’s amazing!”

“I think her walking instead of getting up makes it even more raw and dramatic. But either way it’s powerful,” one user wrote on X.
