Telangana says no to songs promoting drugs and violence in Diljit Dosanjh's concert

Ahead of Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s concert in Hyderabad on Friday (November 15, 2024), the Telangana government has issued a notice to the organizers saying that songs promoting alcohol, drugs and violence will not be allowed at the event. Will be sung.

Diljit’s concert here was part of his Dil-Luminati Tour in 10 cities across India. Based on the representation of a resident of Chandigarh, the notice has been issued by the District Welfare Officer, Rangareddy, Department of Welfare of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens.

In the notice, Diljit Dosanjh has been banned from singing songs promoting alcohol, drugs and violence during his live show held in Cyberabad on November 15. The notice also bans the singer from using children on stage during his shows. The notice further states that loud noises and flashing lights during the concert are harmful for children.

The notice said the representations submitted along with video evidence stated that Diljit Dosanjh had sung songs promoting alcohol, drugs and violence during a live show at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi last month.

Meanwhile, a video posted on Diljit’s social media handle shows that the singer reached the city and visited the historic Charminar. He also offered prayers at a temple and gurudwara in the city.
