The first concert titled Best Movie Soundtrack on November 15 will feature tunes from Tamil and Hindi films. It includes hit songs like ‘Vaseegara’, ‘Srivalli’, ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, ‘Lag Ja Gale’, ‘Uyire’ and will feature homegrown talent Lalit Talluri on flute, Bharat Dhamodaran on keyboards and Sarath Dhamodaran on percussion . ,

First started in Spain in 2019, the popularity of candlelight concerts has grown to more than 40 countries and 300 cities. Produced by Live Your City (a brand owned by Fever Labs Inc.) in India, the first concert took place in Mumbai in June this year. The series of concerts features musicians playing classic and contemporary music. There is no microphone to amplify sound. All is quiet except for appreciative applause at the end of each set. The repertoire is diverse and ranges from tributes to Bach, Chopin and Ed Sheeran to string quartets playing hip hop beats or Punjabi music.
“It is about bringing classical music to a contemporary audience. We want to provide a platform for artists who are skilled,” says Deepa. The concert is now in 21 cities across the country including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, Pune, Delhi, Ahmedabad… Sometimes, there are two to three sessions one after the other on a particular date. “The whole point is to make candlelight concerts a regular part of the city,” she adds.

Initially starting with classical music, the music program has now included contemporary music from films and pop music from bands and singers.
