TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s beloved leader Choi Soobin will be temporarily skipping the upcoming planned group event due to his health. On November 19, the South Korean singer’s agency, BIGHIT MUSIC, announced that the 23-year-old star would be taking a leave of absence in light of his recent hospital visit and subsequent medical advice.
The sad announcement comes just days before the K-pop group’s appearance at this week’s 2024 MAMA Awards in Japan, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, November 22, 2024. According to BIGHIT’s official release, Soobin will be absent from events like the upcoming MAMA Awards. Japan offline fan events, ACT: Promise Encore, Shangai fan signing event, and other year-end ceremonies and celebrations in Japan.

Earlier today, it was revealed that TXT will be making their debut at NHK’s 75th Uta Gassen, a year-end event, an annual festival that takes place on December 31st every year. Like MAMA Awards on November 22, this ceremony will also be held in Jolly Japan

A quote from BIGHIT MUSIC’s announcement regarding Soobin’s health reads: “Soobin recently displayed signs of being unwell and visited the hospital for medical treatment. Medical staff have advised that he will need adequate time to rest and recover.

“We have prioritized Soobin’s recovery and discussed future activities with all members. Soobin himself is determined to continue his activities, however, we felt it would be better for him to focus on improving his health for the time being as recommended by the medical staff.
The official message also said, “Soobin plans to take the necessary rest and maintain his daily life to return to his healthy form among fans again. The company will do its best to help Soobin recover and meet fans in good health.”
