‘Unstoppable’ Jennifer Lopez beautifully tackles ‘Hollywood taboo’ comment during movie screening

Age remains one of Hollywood’s biggest taboos.

Jennifer Lopez and her crowd of supporters were stunned when an interviewer made a quip about her age during a Sunday screening of her latest film. stopThe 55-year-old superstar sat down for a chat with Variety’s senior awards editor Clayton Davis at the event.

Interviewer makes age related comment on Jennifer Lopez

According to a video shared by TMZ, Davis may not have made his age-related comment with any ill intentions. He also interviewed the Hustlers actress for Variety’s Awards Circuit podcast last month. Highlighting her decades-long contribution to the entertainment industry, he reminisced about the songstress, saying: “I can’t believe it’s been 30 years since Selena.” ‘Jenny from the Block’ starred the iconic Mexican-American singer Selena Quintanilla-Pérez in the lead role in the 1997 biopic – which is still considered one of Lopez’s top and unbeatable cinematic performances.

He added, “I can’t believe that in 30 years we’re going to be doing a retrospective analysis of this, and by then you’ll be 60, which is…” Of course, Davis verbally turned back the clock. Looking ahead The legacy already established by JLo left the singer-actress speechless. He replied curtly, “Wow.”

Moving on, Davis continued on the same page, saying that the “Marry Me” star was “getting up there” in age. Immediately after this ordeal, there was a loud scream from the audience sitting there. Someone was also heard asking, “Is that what he said?”

Jennifer Lopez, though looking shocked, thanks fans for sticking with her for a ‘long time’.

Meanwhile, a possibly shocked Lopez quietly replied, “I am.” In an attempt to explain away the act, Davis declared that it was merely a “joke”. Jennifer, on the other hand, didn’t seem particularly affected by the age-related comment. Addressing the fans directly, he expressed his gratitude towards those who have supported him for a long time. “What a trip it’s been,” he thanked the crowd. “I honestly feel the best is yet to come.”

“I honestly feel like my creativity and who I am as an artist, like you said… I also feel like it’s a big part of who I am, as a person or as an artist. There was another level of depth to go into. And these kinds of roles change you.”

Explaining further, she said that such roles “come into your life at a time when you need them, and they help you grow and heal you in a way.”

The “Dance Again” singer chose a blue ensemble, drawing attention to her sheet shirt, for the screening of the film Unstoppable, co-produced by her ex-husband, Ben Affleck. Their public outing for the film comes just days after the former spouses came together to show support for their children’s school play. Affleck’s ex Jennifer Garner was also there.
