Actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar married Mumbai-based gallerist Nikolai Sachdev in a private ceremony at a beach resort in Krabi, Thailand on Wednesday.

Although the couple is yet to post wedding pictures, the pictures doing the rounds on the internet show the newlywed couple performing traditional Hindu rituals with their family and friends.

In the pictures from the ceremony, Varalakshmi is seen in a red saree and beautiful Kundan jewellery, while Nikolai is seen wearing a silk shirt and dhoti.

A few days before their wedding, Varalakshmi and Nikolai held a mehendi ceremony and sangeet ceremony in Chennai. Their wedding ceremony on July 3 was a star-studded affair attended by many stars like Chief Minister MK Stalin, musician AR Rahman, actor-politician Suresh Gopi, actor Jackie Shroff, actor Kiccha Sudeep, actor Balakrishna, actor Venkatesh and filmmaker Mani Ratnam.

It is noteworthy that Nikolai is a gallery operator who runs an art gallery called Gallery 7 in Mumbai. Earlier, Varalakshmi had said that Nikolai and she have known each other for 14 years.

Talking about work front, Varalakshmi was recently seen in the Telugu superhero film HanumanShe has been roped in for Dhanush’s second directorial venture. Rayaan In which she will also share the screen with Sandeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Prakash Raj and Aparna Balamurali.
