Varun Dhawan’s much awaited action film baby johnThe release date is just around the corner. After garnering a lot of buzz, the film is now in the news with a report circulating on the internet regarding the salaries of its actors.
One of the biggest films in Varun Dhawan’s filmography, the actor also took home the biggest salary of his career so far. Reportedly, he earned Rs 25 crore as a lead actor in the film.
After this came Keerthy Suresh who charged Rs 4 crore for her role.
The fees of other artists have also been mentioned in the report. Senior actors Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav have been paid Rs 1.50 crore and Rs 1 crore respectively, while Sanya Malhotra has earned Rs 1 crore and Vamika Gabbi has earned Rs 40 lakh.
But the allegation made by Salman Khan is surprising the fans.
Salman has done a high-octane cameo role in the action thriller for free.
During a recent media interview, Atlee, who is supporting the film, revealed how he convinced the superstar to do a cameo.
“It was just the initial discussion between me and Murad (Khitani) sir. I told him, ‘Sir, finally, I need a cameo… should we ask Salman sir?’ He said, ‘Okay,'” Atlee shared.
He further added, ‘The next day, he calls me in the morning and says, ‘Salman has agreed to do a cameo.’ I was surprised. I said, ‘I was just discussing with you, I don’t have any such scene ready for this.’
Murad Khetani quipped, “I didn’t have to explain to him (Salman). I was just chatting with him on the call. During our conversation, I just asked, ‘Bro, we want to do a scene with you.’ Wanted.” baby johnHe was like, ‘It’s done, let me know when I need to come for it.’ The conversation did not go beyond ten seconds.
Atlee also recalled the time when he was about to explain the scene to Salman.
Starr responded, “Why do you need to explain? I’ll come and do it, no problem.” Atlee commented that he had never seen a more humble superstar than Salman.
