The court had said that the postponement of the film’s release is under Ivy Entertainment, in which Rs. 7 crores with HR paintings within 24 hours. The court said, “On receiving Rs 7 crore, the defendant (HR pictures) will immediately provide the release material and the dramatic release material to the plaintiff (IV) as set in Article 4 of the Assignment Agreement within 48 hours.”
The court mentioned that HR Pictures has entrusted the only and other rights about the film in Hindi and North Indian languages ​​in favor of dramatic rights and non-educational rights, digital and online rights, etc., including non-educational rights, digital and online rights, etc.
HR Pictures maintained the dramatic rights and linear rights of the film in other languages ​​for release in India along with Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Pondicherry, abroad (except Nepal).
Ivy entertainment had agreed to pay the rupee. 51 crore in installments for these exclusive rights; However, it has so far paid the amount of rupees. HR paintings constitute Rs 44 crore, which is 40 percent of the total cost from the film’s production. It is believed that there is only the last installment of the rupee. 7 crores are outstanding.
Ivy Entertainment transferred the court earlier this week that HR Pictures did not provide dramatic release material as well as before the release material.
Ivy Entertainment also said that it was necessary that it talks about assignment of digital rights with OTT platforms, before the film was dramatically released to secure the best bargain. It said that if digital rights were not negotiated at this level and if the film fails on its dramatic release at the box office, the ability to negotiate the deal will be severely reduced.
On the other hand, HR paintings replied that about 15,000 tickets have already been sold for the film. It said that Ivy Entertainment was not the only distributor of the film and if the release date is postponed, many other distributors will be damaged.
