They say everything is planned and in this case, the inspiration to create the song that is now going viral started with a random beat. Sharing the anecdote, the singer said, “There was no plan of writing any particular song. I was driving from Sydney to Brisbane, and it’s about an eight-hour drive. I played a random beat in my car and started playing and rhyming whatever came to my mind. In fact, I started recording it on a sound recording device while I was driving. I was listening to a beat on loop for hours and that’s how I wrote this song. The next day, I went to the studio and recorded it. So, sometimes you put too much effort into a song and people don’t like it, but sometimes, you make it for fun and it takes off all over the world. That’s exactly what happened with this song.

On how this particular line ‘Main Girya Hoya Jama Banda Neech Baliye’ came to be, the singer revealed that he was heavily inspired by Jaun Elia’s poetry. “In the 90s, it was very difficult for everyone to write such a bold and courageous line, as it was completely against the constraints of society and culture. I took this positively in my writing and wrote this because no one is perfect, everyone has qualities to be jealous of others. Everyone wants to see them on top in this world, this community or any field so that the power remains in their hands. There is a bad and a good person inside all of us, but we never show it to anyone. So, this line gave everyone a way to show their feelings by creating memes, funny and emotional videos through which they are expressing their feelings on social media.

Noting that the growing trend of Instagram Reels brought his song more popularity than he had imagined, the singer acknowledges the positive impact of social media. “Now, I think people scroll through Instagram Reels before they wake up and have tea. It has become a part of our lives, we cannot deny it. Plus, you never know which line or song influencers like, and they end up making a reel on it, which their millions of followers get to see on Instagram. This trend of reels and songs becoming famous has taken off across the world,” the singer-rapper elaborated, highlighting that Haryanvi music and songs were underrated for many years, but now artists Are part of the mainstream music industry. “Advanced technology and resources that were not available before. Also, many artists have started getting funding and more opportunities from different countries outside India.
