New Delhi: OTT giant Prime Video today announced the global streaming premiere of Tamil film Ratnam. Starring Vishal in the lead role, the film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Menon, Samuthirakani and Yogi Babu in lead roles.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Hari and co-produced by Stone Bench Films, Zee Studios and Invenio Origins, the film has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The action drama will premiere in Tamil with Telugu dubbed on May 23 in India and over 240 countries and territories.


The mass entertainer follows a fiery young man named Rathnam (played by Vishal), who grapples with a troubled past and struggles to control his violent tendencies, especially against those who abuse women.

As a trusted aide to MLA Panneer Selvam (Samuthirakani), Ratnam’s life takes a dramatic turn when he meets Mallika (Priya Bhavani Shankar), a nurse who resembles his mother. What unfolds is a gripping story of Rathnam’s struggle to protect himself while facing his inner demons. Packed with adrenaline-pumping action and heart-wrenching drama, the film promises to keep the audience on the edge of their seats for Rathnam’s salvation.
